The Centre for Minimal Access Surgery (CMAS) is a McMaster University Centre located at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. The centre provides state of the art facilities, education and training for surgeons and nurses in minimally invasive procedures. In 2019 Sandbox was grateful to be approached by CMAS to help redesign their website for a second time.
- Modernize the existing website through a new, responsive creative design
- Introduce online payment capabilities to the existing event registration module
- Provide a password protected area where course and conference attendees obtain supporting materials as well as leave feedback on their specific event
Solution
Sandbox was delighted to once again support CMAS in redesigning their website. Together, we created a modern design to update the look and feel of the existing website. Sandbox integrated with Bambora (a payment adjudication platform) to enable online payment for course attendees. Sandbox introduced additional workflow and document repositories within a secured portal, that allow CMAS staff to deposit additional course/conference materials and encourages user feedback. This significantly reduces the manual administrative work associated with event materials and feedback collection, which was previously done on paper.
Outcome
The CMAS website continues to leverage the OASIS content management system and it's robust event management module, that now supports online payments. The contemporary, responsive design is aligned with the existing CMAS branding. Efforts to enhance search engine optimization have improved distingushing the Centre from other organizations that use the same CMAS acronym.
